Posted on May 20, 2019 at 0:00 AM

The American Public Works Association (APWA) has designated May 19-25, 2019 as National Public Works Week. “It Starts Here” is the theme for this year’s recognition. This theme represents the many facets of modern civilization that grow out of the efforts put forth by public works professionals serving across North America. What starts here? Infrastructure starts with public works... Growth and innovation start with public works... Mobility starts with public works... Security starts with public works... Healthy communities start with public works. The bottom line is that citizens’ quality of life starts with public works.

ESG Operations, Inc. proudly salutes the over 30,000 public works professionals serving across the United States and Canada in all aspects of public works. Public Works is an essential part of every community and municipality. Communities depend on public works services—and the men and women of the profession are always there and always ready.

“ESG is grateful for the dedicated team of public works professionals serving our clients and communities across the Southeast. We value the work these professionals carry out each and every day—planning, building, managing and operating at the heart of their local communities to improve everyday quality of life. ESG is honored to join with the APWA this week in recognizing the importance of public works. We express appreciation for our public works teams and their contributions to the communities where we live and work,” stated John Eddlemon, ESG Senior Vice President and Partner.

Since 1960, the American Public Works Association (APWA) has sponsored National Public Works Week for the purpose of energizing  and educating the public on the importance of public works to their daily lives. ESG is pleased to partner with the APWA in recognizing public works professionals across our nation
